Jay Jensen maintains a philosophy of hard work, focus and determination in his professional career in finance as well as his work as a wrestling coach.
He began building this mentality at a young age, becoming an Eagle Scout and standing as a strong leader in his community. Jensen has always loved working with others and making a positive impact. Along with his commitments as an Eagle Scout, Jay Jensen was also an avid wrestler throughout high school and college. In college he had great success wrestling with his team, the Redbirds. Later on, in 1991, Jensen started coaching young athletes including his son who has seen great success, earning a spot on the wrestling honor roll for his local program among other respectful recognitions.
With wrestling, Jay Jensen strives to teach his athletes not only to be strong competitors and great sports on the mat, but also in their personal lives and professional endeavors. The sport of wrestling holds so many important life values in it such as dedication, focus, drive, competition, and the ability to get things done.
These values and skills are well demonstrated throughout the professional career of Jay Jensen. After earning a degree in accounting, Jensen began work in finance, becoming a member of the AICPA as well as the CPA Society in his home state. After a few years of developing and specializing his skills, Jay went on to open his own financial services firm and later co-founded the employee benefits and risk management firm, Insight Benefits Group (IBG).With his high level of experience in the finance world, Jensen has become a well known speaker and presenter to a variety of audiences including accountants, business owners, attorneys, financial advisors, and beyond. Outside of his professional career and time on the wrestling mat, you will likely find Jay at his favorite crossfit gym, The Body Compound. While his career focuses more on the numbers and exact formulas, his passion for fitness allows him to not only stay healthy physically, but also mentally.
