Jay Jensen has worked in finance and accounting for over twenty two years, developing a successful career and gaining extensive experience in his specialized fields.
Throughout his professional career, Jay Jensen has achieved numerous accomplishments and recognitions. After graduating with a degree in Accounting, he began working in the finance industry. A few years later in 1994, he opened his own financial services firm. With his firm, Jensen provided estate planning, tax, and investment advice for hundreds of clients including many high income and high net worth individuals.
Jay Jensen continued to run and grow his practice for about ten years. Over these years, he began to specialize and focus on the concept of welfare benefit trusts. Becoming an expert in his field, Jensen sold his practice and went on to co-found Insight Benefits Group (IBG) in 2002.
As a managing member and benefits consultant at IBG, Jay Jensen has taken on the following roles:
- Consultant for IRS litigation with a focus on employee benefits
- Consultant for business owners, Municipalities, and private entities
- Developer of products and financing tools for key employee benefit solutions related to funding for business succession planning, partner buy outs, and more.
- Designer of partially self-funded strategies and solutions to help businesses lower employee benefit costs while keeping the same levels of benefits.
- Consultant for calculating employer financial effects related to new and updated regulations of the PPACA.
Along with his long and successful career with IBG, Jay Jensen has also stood as a speaker and seminar presenter in a variety of formats. He has spoken in front of many audiences including business owners, accountants, financial advisors, attorneys, and beyond.
